Gotthardt Isolierteile GmbH is your reliable partner for precision roll slitting. With a state-of-the-art machine park and extensive expertise, we offer flexible solutions for processing web-based materials: from paper and films to composite materials and foams.
What is roll slitting and how does it work?
Roll slitting is a process in which web-based materials are cut into specific widths and diameters. At GOBA, we use the shear cutting principle, where the material is separated by two circular blades moving past each other. This enables precise processing with a width tolerance of +/- 0.1 mm.

Highly efficient machine park
- Hydraulic lifting devices for master rolls up to 1,000 kg
- Automatic blade positioning for quick adjustment of different slitting widths
- Slitting speeds of up to 400 m/minute (material-dependent)
- Laser-assisted positioning of roll cores for smooth operation
The slit strips are automatically pushed onto a handling removal stand, ensuring seamless transitions between slitting operations.
